Police are urging residents of the town’s care homes to refrain from racing their mobility scooters in the area. Last Sunday evening, several elderly ladies and one gentleman were rushed to Addenbrookes following a scooter pileup in the Tesco car park at around 8pm.

All those involved in last Sunday’s incident have been charged with various offences, including anti-social driving practices, careless driving, disturbing the peace, littering and intent to supply Werthers Original to persons under 50.
